RITUAL is our 2021 Intentional Creativity Course in Medicine Painting and Mythic Journaling dedicated to healing through calling the whole soul out of exile. Specifically how art-making can guide us towards mending our relationships with ourselves, our body, our community, our family, our lover/s, and our environment. And very specifically, how we organize our days.
The context for our 'gathering' is a Council of Colorful Creatives coming together in the 'quantum space', what we call the Mountain of Musea. We are sovereign in our own Musea studios around the world yet connected by the quantum connection of the red thread of our global movement.

Living as Ritual - Becoming conscious of making your life sacred
What if there is a new revelation of healing ready to take place in our culture, in our community and in your home and relationships? What if a heightened level of care and intention would facilitate this transformation? What do you have planned for 2021?
In Intentional Creativity, we approach everything we do with love, mindfulness, and intention. The science of creativity says that when we work this way - what we make is impacted, and we too are impacted in the making. When you put an intention to heal in, healing comes out. In essence, making art with purpose changes us and our creations. In RITUAL we are bringing this awareness into our day-to-day lives and relationships.
We are inviting you into a context for living with your life as sacred. Especially in the Covidien Era, choosing to shape our days intentionally has a huge and instant impact. How can living with increased mindfulness impact your sleep, food, body, and approach to living as fully self-expressed? How will you begin to interact with your environment around your home as sacred, and the earth and elements? What is your relationship to the natural world? Plan for 2021 to be a deeper walk with the earth.
We engage in many different modalities of approaching a ritual within the MYTHIC IMAGINATION, often simultaneously. This level of immersion creates a truly embodied experiential approach to returning to one's self.
Together We will Call Your Whole Soul out of Exile through Embodied Experience. We will reweave the strapping trappings which have kept you isolated and fragmented and invite sensual, imaginative, daring stories and shapes to emerge. We will create an epic image and mythos, enormous enough in your imagination to navigate the uncharted terrain of 2021. Let's dive into the mystery together!

Painting as Ritual - Making art as the artifact (a record) of your experience
Our yearlong painting will focus on an archetypal image integrating two faces/selves. A single image of two becoming one that embraces the fragmentation within us as we call the whole soul out of exile. There are often two beings, the one we know and the hidden one. What Dr. Martin Shaw calls the 'Wild Twin'. The Inside self and the Mirror Self you share outside in the world are calling to one another across the cavern of the cosmos, lost without the other. Here at Mountain of Musea, we intuit that it is time to call them back together again.
As humans, we often seek outside of ourselves for that which we feel we are missing, in work, in relationships, in magic, in medicine, and in the material world. What if what we are seeking is the self already within us who hasn't been able to be fully self-expressed? What if the voice of the soul could speak clearly from within.
Through RITUAL, you are called to rise now into the position of being a mythologist of your own consciousness, identity, and to shape your life according to your soul's wisdom. Let's discover what the soul living within you craves to bring forth at this time. You will be painting and writing a story woven together throughout your year of ritual.

We're very excited to announce a great lineup of teachers and guests for RITUAL 2021. Shiloh Sophia will be laying the foundation of Intentional Creativity Painting practice on our big canvas and the context for our LIFE as Ritual. She will be providing a focused devotion for our creative council to gather and own our sacred work to change and write the stories and images of the hidden and revealed feminine as they arise.
MUSEA's wonderful Director of Curriculum Jenafer Joy will bring her powerful intuitive journaling and drawing practices to support us in deepening and integrating the content for Ritual.
Cassielle Bull brings her gifts and wisdom on how energy moves through your body to catalyze transformative change through movement.
Anasuya Isaacs, lover of story, will be your guide for cohort calls enhancing your experience through support within RITUAL Classroom along with Trish O’Malley. Dr. Semerit Strachen will join us on some of our calls to dive into how painting and healing work together.
And to our delight, we will have a special guest. Dr. Martin Shaw, Mythologist and Author of All Those Barbarians (and many more wonderful books), will be joining us for the opening of Ritual in January and a second session in February on becoming storytellers!

My experience in working with tens of thousands of women throughout the world is that WE DON'T KNOW HOW POWERFUL WE REALLY ARE. And. That we are missing some of the basic foundations for transformation that are accessible to us with a devoted practice. Many of us just haven't spent the time, the true time, it takes to re-pattern and re-wire for healing.
Together, with women around the world, we will heal whatever is available to heal. So that YOU can be at the threshold of your life, as ready as possible, waiting for no one and nothing - powerfully moving towards what which your soul longs to express.

Ritual happens when a cup of tea becomes a luxury. Then will the rose open her mouth and release the hive of honeybees she has been saving up for you. A cup of tea becoming a luxury is your choice, you see, but many will not choose it.
I am allowing myself to be seen who I am, for the first time in my life, out of the closet spiritually. What a wondrous gift this process has been for my female spirit.

What most surprised me was the release of unjustified guilt and the recognition that, if one of my ancestors had made one different choice, even the bad ones, there’s a good chance I wouldn’t be here! I’m a miracle and need to treat myself like one!
